Running for Premature Babies was founded by Sophie Smith OAM, inspired by the premature birth of her baby triplets Henry, Jasper and Evan. Sophie’s triplets tragically didn’t survive their prematurity, but their legacy continues to inspire runners to lace up their shoes, raise funds for urgently required neonatal equipment across Australia, and give sick and premature babies a better chance of survival.

SUPPORTING NEONATAL RESEARCH, EQUIPMENT & MORE
RUNNING FOR PREMATURE BABIES
To date $13 million has been raised, providing state-of-the-art neonatal equipment, funding neonatal research and supporting neonatal emergency transfer services Australia-wide, helping save the lives of over 21,000 babies so far.
With 26,000 babies born prematurely in Australia each year, there is so much more work to do.
Will you join our community, and run to celebrate a prematurely born child, living or lost, or simply to make a life-saving difference for premature babies?
