Congratulations to all of the runners who were successful in the 2026 Ballot. We can’t wait to welcome you to Sydney on Sunday, 30 August 2026, as you take on one of the world’s most iconic marathon courses.

For those who were unsuccessful, we know this isn’t the result you were hoping for, but this isn’t the end of your journey. There are alternative ways to secure your spot on the Start Line, including our Travel and Charity Programs.

2026 Ballot Information

​The 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS ballot will open at 10:00am AEST, Wednesday 24 September, and will close at 11:59pm AEDT, Friday 17 October.

TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS

Course Length

The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS is the newest Abbott World Marathon Major, with a record-breaking 33,000 finishers in the 2025 edition. The course is one of the most scenic and breathtaking routes in the world, starting in North Sydney, crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and finishing at the Sydney Opera House.

TCS Sydney Marathon 10km presented by ASICS

10km

Course Length

The TCS Sydney Marathon 10KM is an AIMS certified accurate 10km course, allowing participants to tackle the Sydney Harbour Bridge before finishing at the Conservatorium of Music. 

TCS Sydney Mini Marathon presented by ASICS

5km

Course Length

The run that's fun for everyone! The Mini has now found it's home on Saturday of race week - the perfect start to Marathon weekend and for the next generation to follow the footsteps of today's marathon champions.
