Road closures
Major roads will be closed restricting access east/west across the course from the Sydney Opera House, through the city, Darlinghurst down to Moore Park and Kingsford.
5am to 1:30pm: Anzac Pde closed northbound from Dacey Ave to Fitzroy St, Fitzroy St closed at South Dowling St, Cleveland St closed westbound from Anzac Pde to South Dowling St, Alison Rd closed between Darley Rd and Anzac Pde, Dacey Ave closed between South Dowling St and Anzac Pde and the full closure of Anzac Pde between Gardeners Rd, Kingsford and Avoca St, Kingsford.
Motorists will be detoured around Anzac Pde via Gardeners Rd, Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra Rd and Avoca St in both directions.5am to 2pm: full closure of Anzac Pde between Dacey Ave, Moore Park and Gardeners Rd, Kingsford, Cleveland St closed eastbound from South Dowling St to Anzac Pde, Anzac Pde closed southbound from Lang Rd to Dacey Ave.
Heavy traffic is expected in the Eastern Distributor in both directions due to the closures of Dacey Ave, Anzac Pde and Cleveland St between 5am and 1.30pmMoore Park - 5am to 3:30pm: Anzac Pde closed southbound from Moore Park Rd to Lang Rd, Moore Park Rd closed westbound from Oxford St to Anzac Pde, Driver Ave closed and Lang Rd closed between Anzac Pde and Cook Rd. Robertson Rd and surrounding local streets also closed. Centennial Parklands closed.
No access from east of Anzac Pde to west of Anzac Pde until 1:30pm when Dacey Ave/Alison Rd reopens, or use Cross City Tunnel (toll-free until 4.30pm).
For drivers needing to travel east/west across the course on event day during these hours, the only available route is via Gardeners Rd, Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra Rd and Avoca St or the Cross City Tunnel. The tunnel will be toll-free from 5am to 4.30pm. Long delays are expected so motorists are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, and if you do need to drive, allow for plenty of extra travel time on the roads.
Parking restrictions
Moore Park, Kingsford, Kensington: Special event clearways will be in effect from 12.01am to 10am on Anzac Pde, Moore Park Rd, Lang Rd, Driver Ave, Cleveland St, Dacey Ave, Centennial Parklands internal roads and on surrounding local roads. Clearways will also be in effect from 5am to 1.30pm on sections of Cleveland St, Gardeners Rd, Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra Rd and Todman Ave. The event will reimburse displaced parking if conditions of the parking reimbursement form are met.
Local access
Darlinghurst/Surry Hills residents off Flinders St: Managed residential access and exit maintained via South Dowling St towards Oxford St at all times.
Entertainment Quarter: two-way access maintained to the EQ precinct via Lang Rd (at Robertson Rd) under traffic control from 5am to 3.30pm. No access via Anzac Pde/Driver Ave.
Centennial Park: Closed to vehicles and cyclists for the entire day (24 hours). Only pedestrian access to the park will be permitted.
Moore Park Golf: Managed access to Moore Park Golf Club and Tennis Club between 5am and 1:30pm for approved vehicles via South Dowling Street only. No access permitted across intersection from Cleveland St.
Doncaster Ave: Resident Access via Doncaster Ave from Alison Rd towards Darley Rd
Access to Supa Centa in Moore Park via Todman Ave only.
No access to Randwick via Todman Ave.
Access to Randwick Hospital via Avoca St.
Eastern Distributor on and off-ramps. Moore Park Rd Bondi exit remains open at all times during the event. Anzac Pde Randwick entry and exit closed from 5am to 2pm.
