Here's what you need to know
Sunday 29, August 2027.
The ballot will run from 10:00 AM AEST on 29 September to 10:00 AM AEDT on 19 October.
This is not a first-come, first-served system - every application is equally considered in a random draw. So if you encounter a wait when trying to register, just come back a little later.
Please note that duo teams and non-elite racing wheelchairs have a separate application process and should not register via the ballot. More information is available here.
Successful applicants will be notified, and bank cards will be charged on 3 November 2026, with a confirmation email to follow. Please ensure the email address entered is correct before submitting your application. Sometimes emails land in your junk or spam folder; be sure to check there first before reaching out.
Unsuccessful applicants will also be contacted on 3 November 2026 with advice on alternate ways to secure a spot through our Travel and Charity Programs.
We are committed to making the process as seamless and fair as possible for all applicants. Remember, there is no advantage to entering the ballot on day one versus the final day. We encourage applicants to be patient, understand the key dates and reach out only if you have not heard anything after 6 November 2026.
To ensure fairness and consistency, no correspondence will be provided regarding the status of your ballot application from the moment the ballot opens until the draw has closed, and applicants have been notified of their acceptance status. The outcome of the ballot draw is final. Please check out our FAQs for any questions.
