TCS SYDNEY MARATHON JOINS SEVEN’S UNRIVALLED SPORTING LINE-UP

(Sydney, 17 June 2025) The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS has today announced the Seven Network as the official Australian broadcast media partner of Australia’s largest marathon, taking place in Sydney on Sunday, 31 August 2025.
Seven will deliver exclusive coverage of the iconic event to audiences across Australia live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport.
This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the TCS Sydney Marathon, delivering the excitement, passion, and triumph of marathon day to more households than ever before.

Through this new partnership, the TCS Sydney Marathon will be showcased on Australia’s leading network, amplifying the event’s spirit of inclusivity, community, and achievement. With Seven’s unmatched experience delivering some of the world’s biggest sporting moments, the event will be brought to life for audiences nationwide with the quality, passion, and storytelling it deserves.
Legendary sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney OAM, who will lead the commentary team, said he was looking forward to delivering all the action from Australia’s ultimate distance race.
“Sydney’s elevation to join the likes of Boston, London and New York in the elite group of Abbott World Marathon Majors is an enormous compliment to our Harbour City. It gives Australia the equivalent of a world championship each year, attracting the best globally and inspiring runners at all levels to tackle the ultimate distance,” he said.
“For Seven to be involved in the first Sydney Marathon at this level is a great privilege and honour, and it promises to be a magnificent spectacle.”

The 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon will be broadcast on Sunday, 31 August from 6:00am to 10:00am AEST live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport, with highlights and replays available to stream on 7plus Sport.
