Great spectators don't just watch the race. They become part of it, says Head Coach Georgia Weir.

Marathon day isn't just special for runners. It's also an incredible experience for the family and friends who have supported them through months of training. Whether your runner is chasing a personal best or simply hoping to cross the finish line, your encouragement matters. Celebrate every runner. You've all been part of the journey.
If you're coming along to cheer someone on, plan your day before you arrive, and don’t forget to:
Do your research
Check the course map, download the official event app so you can track your runner in real time and choose a few locations where you'll be able to cheer them on during the race.
Show your support
Never underestimate the impact of hearing a familiar voice or seeing a friendly face when the kilometres start to add up. It can completely change someone's day.
Enjoy everything on offer
After you’ve cheered on the runners, why not check out all the on-course party zones. There’s the:
· Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) Stage (Located around the 29km and 34.8km marks, featuring all-day sets starting with Tigerlily, followed by The Potbelleez and Nina Las Vegas)
· Mrs Macquarie’s Chair Party Zone (featuring Anna Lunoe, Daft Punk tribute Discovery, Mashd N Kutcher, Alex Hayes, and a closing set by the Bag Raiders)
· Customs House Hub (part of the broader Motion Festival celebration across the weekend with continuous DJ and music performances.
